General Election - May 2015

Parliamentary General Election – 7 May 2015 

The Parliamentary General Election will be held on Thursday May 7th 2015. This page contains information for both electors and candidates, and will be updated as Official Notices are published.

Electors:

You can only vote in elections if your name appears on the Register of Electors. You can check your entry if you wish by visiting County Hall, Newport, or by contacting us on the telephone number on the 'Contact' tab above. Poll Cards will be sent to all eligible electors in early April 2015.

The last date to register as an elector and be able to vote in this election is Monday 20th April 2015, but please do not leave this until the last minute as we have to check your identity against official records. Please click here for more information.

Postal Votes: The last date to apply for a postal vote for this election is 5:00pm on Tuesday 21st April 2015. Please click here for more information.

Proxy Votes: The last date to apply for a new proxy vote for this election is 5:00pm on Tuesday 28th April 2015. Please click here for more information.

Official Notices will be posted on this page as and when they are published, starting with the Notice of Election on Thursday 2nd April 2015.

Please complete all relevant sections of the Nomination Papers in full, in accordance with the guidance, and note that the completed forms must be received by the Returning Officer by 4:00pm on Thursday 9th April 2015. Nomination Papers must be delivered by hand.
