|Details:|| Come and view the temporary display which depicts digital copies of advertisements of the many and various items produced by J. S White of Cowes the famous Island ship builder.
The Isle of Wight Council Heritage Service holds a collection of J. Samuel White’s guard books (bound scrapbooks) containing magazine cuttings of the company’s advertisements from 1942 to 1971.
This exhibition displays some of these adverts, from naval ships to lifeboats and air-conditioning units to ice-cream machines.
Cowes Maritime Museum is located in the rear of Cowes library. It is open FREE of charge and introduces the maritime heritage of Cowes.
