Adult Social Care - Learning Disability Homes

Overview

Learning Disability Home

The Isle of Wight Council currently has 8 residential homes across the island providing care and support to adults with a learning disability aged between 18 and 65 years.  All of our homes provide a homely environment where individuals are supported by well trained staff to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.  Our residents are encouraged and enabled to personalise their rooms and communal to make this home their own.

The Registered Home Managers and the staff work with the individuals and their families, keeping family members involved and informed.

Each home is very individual and varies in size.  We take care to match each person to the home where the environment is most appropriate and where they may share their home with other people who they share interests and needs with.
